Author and designer Birte Spreuer has dedicated herself to love.

Birte Spreuer was born in Neunkirchen in the mid-80s. Various courses of study brought her to Saarbrücken, the final course of study, communication design, led her to the worklove studio. In between, the thirst for adventure called her to faraway places; at the same time, reason wanted to learn programming. She realized both in Amsterdam. Now she is living in Cologne.

She works as a freelance author and graphic designer. Her main topic is the wide field of love. She documents what is said and writes down and visualizes experiences and moments of her environment. Birte Spreuer develops stories from her research - resulting in books, large-scale word installations and posters. With co-author Daniela Spinelli, she has been writing and designing the note calendar was wir lieben: in 365 Tagen for seven years.
